My story

One day back in Stoke-on-Trent, I was in my third year of high school and my sister was in her first year. There were people from our old school, some friends, some enemies; people we did not like because they were bullies. One girl (who shall remain nameless) who was my sister’s friend but turned against her, I still don’t know why. She nick-picked at her, called her names and bullied her at school. One day during an hour dinner break, she and my sister got into a fight. I got called to the office to see my sister, she told me what happened, the girl started it with name-calling then she retaliated and yelled back and the girl slapped her. After about ten minutes all three of us got released and once we were outside the girl started again so I told her to “stop there’s is no need for all this” but she continued so ran up to her and punched in the face and broke her nose. She did not show up to school for a few days, she has a big bandage on her nose and she did not pick on my sister for a while.

Haiku

5. I shot a man dead
7. If had we met somewhere else
5. He would have survived

5. I shot him because
7. Because he. He was my foe
5. He would have shot me

5. On opposite sides
7. Set the same task - to kill me
5. To kill each other

5. Standing in the mist
7. Both guns are at the ready
5. My trigger pulled first

5. I shot a man dead
7. If had we met somewhere else
5. He would have survived

5. I shot him because
7. Because he. He was my foe
5. We kill in a war

hush, hush by Becca Fitzpatrick

The story:

Falling in love was never so easy . . .
or so deadly.
For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch came along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment.
But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure who to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.
For Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost her life.

why it's my favorite

because it really had my imagination running wild with the several different plots in the same story and the twist fooled me right to the end.
